Calendar for Vault Guardian

I realized while working on this series that certain references to lengths of time are necessary. However, using months like January, February, March, etc in a world taking place centuries after the apocalypse would anachronistic. So, I decided to create a hybridization of a solar and lunar calendar, including some feast days to the major settlements (and the main character's birthday). By the time the next book is completed, I will have other important dates and birthdays listed as well.

The Calendar of the Penteric Alliance 

 Wolf Moon

a.          Corresponds to December 22^nd through January 17^th

b.         1^st Wolf is also referred to as New Year’s Day

 Storm Moon

a.          Corresponds to January 18^th through February 14^th

b.         February 2^nd or 16^th Storm is Ymbolg, the Feast of Mashariq

Crow Moon

a.          Corresponds to February 15^th through March 14^th

Thunder Moon

a.          Corresponds to March 15^th through April 11^th

b.         March 21^st or 7^th Thunder is the Celebration of the Vernal Equinox

Seed Moon

a.          Corresponds to April 12^th through May 9^th

b.         May 1^st or 20^th Seed is Beltane, the Feast of Sydgilbyn

c.          Ben’s birthday is 11^th Seed 

Harvest Moon

a.          Corresponds to May 10^th through June 6^th

b.         2^nd Harvest is the Celebration of Mathias’s Founding, Feast of Freztad

a.          Corresponds to June 7^th through July 4^th
